Wedding

Clyde, NC and Lake Junaluska, NC

An intimate moment. Tears of joy. Laughter. An excited bride and groom a few minutes away from becoming husband and wife. There was not a dry eye in the house as Emily and Kenneth shared their first touch at the corner of the hallway. One of the things I love most about being a wedding day photographer is quiet moments few people get to witness. One of Emily’s beloved bridesmaids, my second photographer (who is also my mom:) ), the wedding coordinator and myself were the only ones lucky enough to overhear Emily and Kennth’s pre ceremony prayer. We were giving them a moment alone, so we stepped out of the hallway, but were still in earshot. The sincerity, joy and intimacy that of their prayer to God for each other and with each other was divine. 

Emily and Kenneth met, were engaged and now married at their church in Clyde, NC. According to Kenneth, Emily stole his heart at first wave. As they volunteered and worked closely at New Covenant Church they became friends, and now, well they are on the wedding blog! Needless to say, their friendship blossomed into romance. Romance led to Kennth asking Emily to marry him where they met, and that lead to marriage. Emily said yes, and their love story was able to come full circle in the place they met! Their fun filled reception at Lake Junaluska was full of loved ones gathered around committed to Emily and Kenneth’s relationship. There is nothing like a room full of people who are Team-Husband-and-Wife! 

Emily and Kenneth, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. It was truly an honor and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the next chapters of your love story.
