Ethan

Class of 2022

Lenoir-Rhyne University-Hickory, NC

The red trees are popping. Lenoir-Rhyne’s campus is filled with the buzz of finals, end of semester projects, and a soon coming winter break. For some students this means graduation is right around the corner!

Ethan’s hard work is about to pay off. After 4.5 years of college, and a total of 13.5 years of school from kindergarten to senior year of college, he is rounding the corner to be a college graduate (WHAT?!?!)!

Strong, steadfast, kind, caring and creative are just a FEW words to describe him. How do you put into words the strength and integrity of someone who is the literal human version of a tree planted by the water? Ethan. How do you explain someone who can simultaneously bring the most joy and the most peace into a room? Ethan. How do you put into words someone who is like a steady freight train moving through his goals, picking people up as he strongly and steadily through and to his goals? Ethan.

From little league baseball to basketball through high school, owning his own business and his faith walk, his dedication and steadfastness can be seen in every area of his life. If you are blessed enough to know him, you know how much of a rock he is to not only his family but everyone around him. In every situation, in every setting, he is always a voice of logic and reason. However, no matter how logical and reasonable, he always has an extremely caring spirit for everyone around him.

Ethan, words cannot describe what an honor it was to document this part of your life (and many more:) ). Thank you for letting me be your personal paparazzi, for always trading photos, always talking shop (among other things), and being the BEST brother in the world. You’re an amazing human, and I love you so much! Here’s to many more adventures.

-Em’:)

(For those of you new here, Ethan is my brother, so I’ve had the privilege of seeing all these things first hand:) ).
